ACC Championship
The ACC Championship returns for an exciting weekend of competition on May 16–17, bringing together member and guest teams for a two-day, 36-hole tournament that blends camaraderie with high-level play. Open to Member–Member, Member–Guest, and Guest–Guest pairings, this event features a best ball format scored both gross and net, giving every team a chance to compete across multiple leaderboards.
Play begins Saturday morning with tee times or a shotgun start at 8:00 AM, depending on the size of the field, and concludes Sunday with a final round followed by a Championship Barbecue Lunch. Teams will compete using 80% of their GHIN handicap, calculated from their 12-month low index, ensuring a fair and competitive environment throughout the field. Players will have the option to compete from different tee sets based on a combination of age and handicap, with a dedicated women’s division playing from the silver tees.
The ACC Championship is truly three tournaments in one, with titles awarded for Overall Gross and Overall Net champions, along with a unique Bonus PGA Championship competition that adds an extra layer of excitement. In this bonus game, each team is randomly paired with a PGA Tour player who makes the cut at the PGA Championship, and that player’s weekend scores are combined with the team’s total. The lowest combined score claims the bonus title.
Prize payouts will be awarded as pro shop credit to the top 30% of the field, with a 70% net and 30% gross distribution. The top two teams in both gross and net divisions, as well as the top two teams in the PGA Championship bonus game, will earn prizes. ACC Championship winners in both gross and net divisions will also receive the club’s signature winner’s jackets.
Entry fees vary by team type, with Member–Member teams set at $200, Member–Guest teams at $350, and Guest–Guest teams at $500. All entries include the Championship Barbecue Lunch and automatic participation in the PGA Championship bonus game. Optional cash side pools, including gross skins, closest to the pin, low gross, and low net, are available for an additional $60 per team.
Registration closes on May 8, so be sure to secure your spot and prepare for one of the premier competitive and social events of the season at ACC.
