First Annual “Road to Augusta” Simulator Tournament

The First Annual “Road to Augusta” Simulator Tournament is a Masters-inspired team net event played at Augusta National on GSPro. This 3-week competition is designed as an early-season competitive kickoff, combining structured team formats, GHIN-based net scoring, and a championship Final Day to create a legitimate, pressure-driven experience inside the simulator. This is not a casual simulator event; it is your club’s early-season major.

Tournament Format:

The tournament consists of 54 holes played over three rounds, all scored net. Round 1 is an 18-hole Scramble, followed by an 18-hole Best Ball in Round 2. After 36 holes, the field is cut to the Top 5 teams, who advance to the Championship Final Day. The final round is an 18-hole Alternate Shot format, designed to test true team strategy and skill. The winning team will be awarded the Green Jacket in a signature presentation to close the event.

Rounds 1 and 2 must be completed by March 29, and the Championship Round must be completed before Masters Sunday.

Registration & Field:

The tournament is limited to 30 players (15 teams). Registration opens on March 1 and closes on March 7. Entry is based on a first-to-pay policy. All players, including guests, must have a current GHIN Handicap Index. Registration is managed through Golf Genius.

Entry Fees & Inclusions:

Entry fees are $25 per player. Each team’s entry includes full participation in the three-round competition, integrated scoring through GSPro and SGT, eligibility for the Championship Final Day, and access to the prize pool paid to the top four teams. Each team will also receive one dozen Srixon golf balls and two golf gloves. An optional $20 Net Skins game will also be available, with 100% payout.

Simulator time is booked separately at standard rates: $40 per hour for members and $55 per hour for guests. Teams must play together, cannot combine with other teams, and booking blocks are reserved exclusively for each team.

Competitive Integrity:

The tournament uses GHIN-based net scoring to ensure fairness, accuracy, and legitimacy. Scores are automatically integrated from GSPro into the Simulator Golf Tour system. Teams must follow all scoring rules, and tiebreakers for cuts or placements will be decided by back-9, last 6, last 3, and finally hole 18.

Prizes & Recognition:

The prize pool is funded from entry fees (~40%), with payouts for the top four teams. The Championship team will receive the Green Jacket, with other awards provided for second, third, and fourth place. The final Green Jacket presentation is a signature moment, establishing a new annual tradition for the club.

Weather & Play:

Teams should be prepared to play their rounds during the scheduled window. Simulator sessions are reserved for each team, and if issues arise (e.g., technical difficulties), the tournament committee will provide guidance.

With limited spots and a structured competitive format, the First Annual “Road to Augusta” Simulator Tournament is built to be organized, exciting, and tradition-setting. Register your team and begin your Road to Augusta.
