First Annual “Road to Augusta” Simulator Tournament

The First Annual “Road to Augusta” Simulator Tournament is a Masters-inspired team net event played at Augusta National on GSPro. This three-week competition is designed as an early-season competitive kickoff, combining structured team formats, GHIN-based net scoring, and a championship finish to create a legitimate, pressure-driven tournament experience inside the simulator.

Tournament Format
The tournament consists of 54 holes played over three rounds, with all scoring calculated net using GHIN handicaps. Round 1 will be an 18-hole Scramble, followed by an 18-hole Best Ball format in Round 2. The final round will be an 18-hole Alternate Shot format, designed to test true team strategy and shot execution.

All teams will compete in all three rounds, and the lowest cumulative net score across the full 54-hole tournament will determine the champions. Each team is required to complete one round per week during the three-week tournament window.

All three rounds must be completed by April 5.

Registration & Field
The tournament field will consist of 10–16 players (5–8 teams). Registration opens on March 1 and closes on March 7, with entry confirmed on a first-to-pay basis. All players must have a current GHIN Handicap Index.

Registration and event management will be handled through Golf Genius, with scoring integrated through GSPro and SGT.

Entry Fees & Inclusions
Entry fees are $25 per player. Each entry includes participation in the three-round competition, integrated scoring through GSPro and SGT, eligibility for the tournament prize pool, and team merchandise consisting of one dozen Srixon golf balls and two golf gloves per team. An optional $40 Closest to the Pin and Net Skins game will also be available with 100% payout.

Simulator time is booked separately at the standard simulator rates of $40 per hour for members and $55 per hour for guests. Teams must play their rounds together.

Competitive Integrity
The tournament uses GHIN-based net scoring to ensure fairness and legitimacy. Scores will be automatically integrated from GSPro into the Simulator Golf Tour (SGT) system. Teams are expected to follow all scoring procedures.

Any ties for tournament placement will be decided using standard tournament tiebreakers including back nine, last six holes, last three holes, and finally hole eighteen.

Prize Pool & Recognition
The prize pool will be funded by approximately 40% of total entry fees and paid out based on final field size. With 10–12 players (5–6 teams), payouts will be awarded to first, second, and third place teams. With 13–16 players (7–8 teams), payouts will extend to fourth place.

The championship team will receive the Green Jacket, awarded during the club’s Masters Party on April 10, establishing a new annual tradition for the event.

Weather & Play
Teams should plan to complete their rounds during the tournament window. Simulator sessions will be scheduled in advance for each team. If technical issues or scheduling conflicts arise, the tournament committee will provide guidance.

With limited spots and a structured competitive format, the First Annual “Road to Augusta” Simulator Tournament is designed to be organized, exciting, and tradition-setting.
